Some achievements of GIGDEV so far are as follows:
q Provided employable skills and reproductive health training for over 300 underprivileged girls from deprived rural communities.
q Established 4 satellite stations, which have trained over 80 marginalized girls in employable skills.
q Establishment of an early childhood development center for kids of single teenage parents (mothers).
q Supported over 700 marginalized girls with working equipment and start up capital to establish their own businesses in their communities.
q Supported the construction of 2 separate four – seater toilets for beneficiaries of GIGDEV in Jisonayili.
q Executed community-based project on good governance and civic rights of children and women in the Tamale rural communities.
q Undertook activities/projects on Gender and Reproductive Health including STIs/HIV/AIDS in rural and urban communities in the Northern Region.
q Carried out projects on the prevention of Streetism and reduction of the number of street children in Ghana , Streetism is one of the development issues that retard development in Ghana
q Carried out numeric and literacy skills training for illiterate girls and women from deprived rural communities in the Northern Region. Most of the beneficiaries can now read and write.
q Carried our project under good governance and human rights for three (3) years in the areas of trafficking, child labour, abuse and other.
